Argentina forward, Lionel Messi set up Enzo Fernandez to fire in an 85th-minute equaliser and then also crossed for substitute Lautaro Martinez to head in the winner in the second minute of stoppage time.

 

Argentina will now play against Spain at the World Cup final which will take place at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, 19th July, 2026, in New Jersey. 

 

England will head to Miami to play France in third-place play-off on Saturday, 18th July 2026.
