An emergency National Executive Committee meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress has been tentatively scheduled for the first week of September by the National Working Committee.

 However, the date is subject to the approval of the President who doubles as National Leader of the party.

The NEC meeting became necessary following the expiration of the 90-day transfer of power granted to the NWC by the party’s highest decision-making organ at its 11th meeting on April 20 in Abuja.
