The All Progressives Congress, APC has criticized the Kano state government and the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in Kano State for allegedly disrespecting the Chairman of the National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, Justice Flora Azinge.

This is in reaction to the revelation made by judge Azinge on Wednesday, about an attempt to bribe a member of the tribunal by a senior lawyer, after which the NNPP government accused the APC of being the bribe giver.

The APC through the immediate past Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs and Spokesperson for Gawuna/Gari Campaign Council, Muhammad Garba, says when Justice Azinge made the revelation, she never named any particular party.

He says this is a deliberate attempt by the Kano State Government to malign not only the APC, but the tribunal chairman for fear of what could possibly be the final judgment, by quoting her out of context.
