The Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) has promised to generate N5billion for the Anambra State Government before the end of 2023.

The President General ASMATA, Humphrey Anuna, stated this on Monday, after an executive meeting of the association at its secretariat in Onitsha.

Anuna sez that on assumption of office in 2022, the current executive members of ASMATA, generated N2.9 billion for the state government.

Also reacting, the Conflict Resolution Committee Chairman ASMATA, Eric Uwaoma, commended the moves by the president-general, adding that it will aid the Internally Generated Revenue base of the state and enhance its infrastructural development.
