The Anambra State Police Command said it has arrested some suspects in connection to the killing of the President-General of the Umuoji community in the Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, Silas Onyima.

The state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest of some suspects on Monday.

Although, Ikenga did not disclose the number of persons arrested so far, he said the arrests were made based on intelligence gathering which the state Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye, set in place.

Recall some gunmen suspected to be assassins had invaded the residence of the deceased on Friday and killed him.
