The Anambra State Government has inaugurated the 2027 Budget Committee, charging its members to ensure it is guided by transparency, fiscal discipline and evidence-based project selection.

The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Chukwukadibia Okoye, inaugurated the committee this Friday at the Inter-Agency Board Room of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.

Okoye urged members to approach their assignment with focus, commitment and a strong sense of ownership.

He says the budget remains the principal tool for translating government policies and programmes into tangible development outcomes.
