Anambra State government has established family court to tackle issues relating to domestic violence in the state.

The Anambra Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ify Obinabo, disclosed this, yesterday, in Awka, while hosting members of the United Business Women And Farmers Association in her office.

Obinabo said the family court already has 10 cases pending, nine suspects have been remanded and are awaiting trial, while one has been granted bail.

The commissioner stressed that the government of Charles Soludo has zero tolerance for domestic violence, insisting that the ministry would continue to ensure such incidents are put under check.
