The Commissioner of Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Olatoye Durosinmi, has ordered the deployment of more security personnel to all Correctional Centres across the state.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon, stated this, this Tuesday, saying that Durosinmi ordered the deployment when he embarked on a two-day tour of Custodian facilities in company of company of Julius Ezugwu, Controller of Corrections, Nigerian Correctional Service, Akwa Ibom State.

The CP says the move is a proactive security measure to prevent any unfortunate incident in the state, also urging the police officers to report any suspicious movement to security agencies.

As a preventive measure, the CP ordered for the immediate deployment of more Police Personnel to boost the security situation in each of the facilities and warned the officers to be vigilant and courageous.
