Ajibola Slams Adeleke Over Remarks About Tinubu

Ahead of this month’s Osun State governorship election, National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Bashiru, has told Governor Ademola Adeleke to stop casting aspersions on President Bola Tinubu and other leaders of the party.

The party’s chief scribe spoke against the backdrop of comments by Governor Adeleke in which he blamed President Tinubu and the immediate-past governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola, for the crisis in the state.

Speaking during a campaign rally in Olorunda Local Government Area on Monday, Governor Adeleke alleged that extrajudicial killings were occurring in the state and urged President Tinubu not to turn a blind eye to the development.

He vowed that election rigging would be resisted in the state, expressing absolute confidence in his victory if the process remains free and fair.

But responding, the party’s scribe dismissed Adeleke’s claims, asking him to run an issue-based campaign if he truly has what to show the people of Osun that should earn him a second term.

The former lawmaker said the fear of Adeleke is well understood as he projected and programmed to campaign and solicit for Osun peoples’ votes.
