The Agunechemba Security Outfit in Anambra state says it has recorded yet another feat in the fight against insecurity after it destroyed camps of gunmen in Orumba North and South Local Government Areas and recovered a stash of arms, including two General Purpose Machine Guns and locally made rocket launchers. 

 

The Publicity Secretary of Agunechemba, Nweke Nweke, made this known to newsmen on Sunday saying the operation followed intelligence gathering and undercover operations carried out at major security flashpoints in Anambra South Senatorial District.

 

He said the arms have been handed over to the Nigerian Army, also say the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, commended Anambra state Governor Chukwuma Soludo and reiterated that the Nigerian Army will continue to partner with other security agencies, including Agunechemba, to combat crime in the state.
