The Nigeria High Commission has advised Nigerians living in South Africa to safely conduct themselves ahead of the AFCON semi-final clash between the Super Eagles and Bafana-Bafana.

The commission released a communiqué this Tuesday warning Nigerians in the country of what it described as veiled threats against them should the result be in favor of the super eagles.

It advised the Nigerian community to be mindful of where they choose to watch the match, especially in public places and also be watchful of their utterances.

It also beseeched Nigerians to avoid provocative celebrations that might incite any form of violence should Nigeria win the encounter.

The High Commission further advised against any form of reciprocation in the instance of any provocation, saying all acts of violence should be reported to the proper authorities.
