The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun says adequate security arrangements have been put in place for the forthcoming governorship elections scheduled for November 11, 2023.
He specifically assured the residents of the Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states, saying the force will leverage on the fact that the elections are limited to just three states to deploy adequately.
He made the assurance on Thursday after a meeting with Strategic Police Managers at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Egbetokun also urged the electorates to shun any form of violence and adhere to the rules of elections.
