The commissioner said this on Sunday, pointing out that the ongoing verification of civil servants in the state is aimed at ensuring that government workers and retirees receive their salaries and pensions as and when due. 

 

He urged the workers to be patient with the state government as he says the exercise will also bring the ‘ghost workers’ syndrome in the civil service to an end when completed.
