Recall that a video went viral this past weekend showing a man in black shorts, hitting a woman on the floor, while another man secretly recorded the incident. 

 

The Abia Police Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the arrest of the man whose name is Agwu Ukpo, aged 37, saying he was assaulting one Amarachi Chiyere over a dispute relating to a pot of soup.

 

The police said the case is currently under discreet investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department, and that the suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
