The Anambra governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the upcoming governorship elections, Chioma Ifemeludike, has vowed to address the issue of workers’ welfare in the state, promising to increase the minimum wage to N100,000.
Ifemeludike made the promise this Monday, while appreciating the conveners of the just-concluded governorship debate in the state, conducted by Creative Mind Centre for Youth and Community Development in collaboration with Active Citizens Media.
Ifemeludike says the governorship debate provided the candidates with an opportunity to share their ideas and connect with the people of Anambra.
She said her promise of N100,000 minimum wage is not a political promise, but a practical commitment, which can be made possible by cutting unnecessary government expenses and investing wisely in agriculture and internal revenue growth.
