We Won’t Just Sing Reform Songs - APC Governors

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have pledged to move beyond publicising President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms to ensuring that Nigerians feel their benefits, urging transport operators using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to pass their savings on to passengers through lower fares.

“So we are not going to only sit here and sing the songs of reform,” Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, declared after briefing Tinubu at his Lagos residence.

His remarks came as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council challenged Vice President Kashim Shettima’s claim that Tinubu saved Nigeria from economic collapse, describing it as an indictment of former President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC.

Uzodimma said the governors had taken their cue from Tinubu’s recent national broadcast and were focused on translating the administration’s policies into tangible improvements in people’s lives.

Citing transportation, he urged operators benefiting from cheaper CNG to reduce fares in line with their operating costs.
