The Anambra State Police Command says it has disrupted a suspected cult-related gathering at Abagana Street, Fegge, Onitsha, following credible intelligence received by operatives of Fegge Police Station today, 27th September 2026.

The Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga said this on Sunday, saying the operatives moved to the location and arrested one 25-year-old Chinedu Ike, while other persons suspected to be members of the group reportedly fled on sighting the Police.

Ikenga says the arrested suspect admitted to being a member of the Vikings Confraternity.

He also said the Police have commenced intelligence-led efforts to identify, trace and apprehend the fleeing suspects, as well as determine their possible involvement in cult-related activities and other violent crimes within the area.
