Ogun Police Arrest Seven Suspects Over Robbery, Cultism, Fraud
The Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested seven suspected criminals for offences ranging from one-chance armed robbery, to cultism, unlawful possession of firearms and obtaining money by false pretences.
 
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said this to newsmen on Sunday, saying they also recovered a stolen vehicle, three locally made firearms, a vehicle allegedly used by a one-chance robbery syndicate, 17 stolen mobile phones, a laptop and N1.1m traced to an alleged travel scam.
 
The suspects were identified as 42 year old Bola Salau, 25 year old Segun Balogun, Emmanuel Friday, Tunde Abioye, Ankpa James, 41 year old Tunde Ogunseye, and 36 year old Owodunni Seun. 
 
Babaseyi says the suspects were arrested during separate intelligence-led operations carried out by operatives of the Ilaro Area Command and the Ibafo, Mowe, Adatan and Ode-Remo divisions and that the operations forms part of the command’s sustained efforts to combat crime across the state.
