Reports say the woman was at the market with her children and husband when gunmen came to the scene and shot at two tyres of their vehicle where her husband was said to be waiting for her.

 

Eyewitnesses say the gunmen tried to drag the man from the vehicle but he fought them off and escaped. However, they turned to his wife, dragged her into their vehicle and sped away. 

 

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikoedem, confirmed the incident saying investigations are ongoing and efforts are underway to rescue the woman.
