The Federal High Court has announced that its registries in all the divisions of the court will now be open to lawyers on weekends and public holidays for filing of pre-election cases.

The Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court, Yahaya Shafa, announced this in Abuja, this Thursday.

He said the development is necessary for the court to meet up with the limited time frame for filing pre-election matters.

He said the court will be in operation between 10am and 2pm on weekends and public holidays for filing of pre-election matters only.
