The Court of Appeal sitting in Kuwait has upheld the death sentence of a Turkish expatriate convicted of trafficking 102 grams of cocaine and 22.4 grams of psychotropic substances for trafficking and consumption.
Blaze FM’s Correspondent in Kuwait, Emmanuel Nnaji gathered that the Turkish expatriate was arrested by the airport customs and anti-narcotics officers upon his return to Kuwait.
The narcotics and psychotropic substances were found in his possession during a stop and search by the customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport
Our Correspondent further reports that the Turkish expatriate was later referred to competent authorities for legal action and subsequently transferred to the Public Prosecution.
