The All Progressives Congress, APC, has cleared 27 aspirants to participate in the House of Representatives primaries scheduled for this Friday, in Anambra State, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chairman of the party in Anambra, Emmanuel Anosike, said this to newsmen on Thursday, shortly after a closed-door meeting with the aspirants and other members of the party at the state headquarters of the party in Awka.

He also said that the cleared aspirants emerged after undergoing the party’s screening exercise conducted by the APC screening committee aimed at assessing the eligibility and readiness of aspirants vying for the party’s ticket across the federal constituencies that constitute Anambra State.

Recall that the APC has postponed its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections by one day, with the new date now scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, while maintaining the rest of its previously announced timetable.
