China’s President, Xi Jinping has called for his country and the Unites States of America, US, to be partners, not rivals.
Xi made the call on Wednesday before heading into a high-stakes talks with US President, Donald Trump, that lasted nearly two hours in Beijing.
In response, President Trump described Xi as a “great leader” and assured that the relationship between the two countries will be “better than ever before”
Report say Taiwan is among several sensitive subjects likely to be addressed during the talks, including tariffs, competition over tech and the Iran war
