The Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has flagged off the construction of the N29.8bn Aboh-Akarai road and bridge project in Ndokwa East Local Government Area.
At the flag-off ceremony held on Wednesday, Oborevwori said his administration has remained focused and organised in executing its infrastructure development agenda, saying the project reaffirms his commitment to inclusive infrastructural development across riverine, rural, and urban communities in the state.
He says the landmark project underscores his administration’s resolve to ensure that no part of the state is left behind in the delivery of democratic dividends, regardless of the terrain or remoteness of the communities.
He said the road project will stimulate economic growth, attract investments, create employment opportunities, and facilitate the movement of agricultural produce and goods from rural communities to markets.
