President Bola Tinubu has approved ₦2 billion in relief support for victims of the Palm Sunday attack that occurred on March 29 in Angwa Rukuban community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, announced this on Wednesday saying the president approved the sum during an interactive meeting with a delegation from Plateau State, in fulfilment of the President’s earlier promise to engage stakeholders following the violence.
Onanuga says President Tinubu also urged the Plateau leaders to commit to lasting peace and address the root causes of recurring violence in the state.
In response, Plateau state Governor Caleb Mutfwang thanked the President for his sustained support and commitment to peace in the State and pledged that leaders would build on the momentum to strengthen unity in the state.
