APC in Yobe State adopts consensus for 2027 primaries, endorses Tinubu for second term
‎The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Yobe State has resolved to adopt consensus as its mode of selecting candidates for the 2027 general elections. 
‎President of the 9th Senate, Ahmad Lawan, read the resolution at a media briefing, in Damaturu on Thursday, that out of the two modes specified in the Electoral Act, consensus and direct, the APC chose the consensus.
 
‎ Lawan also said that stakeholders are mindful of various interventions and reforms introduced by the federal government that have begun to yield positive results, which made the state chapter of APC, to endorse President Bola Tinubu as its presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
‎He further said that they hope to deliver 3.5 million votes to their presidential candidate, President Bola Tinubu, in the 2027 presidential election, and all their candidates, governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly candidates, would receive higher votes than they did in the 2023 general elections.
