The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has said that over 200 delegates will meet in Abuja for an Emergency Delegates Meeting on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, following the disqualification of candidates for the Annual Delegates Meeting (ADM) elections.
The Chairman of States Chairmen of the association, Oreyemi Ifedayo, said this this Monday.
IFEDAYO says the disqualifications have been condemned by state chairmen, caucuses, and the Committee of Past Presidents, who want the NMA President, Bala Audu, to reverse the decision.
He also said the Emergency Delegate Meeting became necessary after interventions failed.
Ifedayo further said that delegates will meet on April 22 to deliberate and restore peace.
