Police Crack Down on Crime in Ogun, Arrest Three with Guns and Charms

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspects in separate operations across the Mowe and Sagamu areas, recovering locally made firearms, cartridges, and charms suspected to be linked to cultism and other criminal activities.

Police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that the arrests were carried out between April 14 and 18, 2026, during intelligence-driven raids and routine stop-and-search operations by divisional units and the Quick Response Squad.

According to him, the suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, praised the officers for their professionalism and proactive approach in tackling crime across the state.
