A nine-year-old girl has died following a truck crash that occurred at Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Akure this Monday, saying that the driver has been arrested.
He also said that the vehicle has been recovered for inspection, while investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Jimoh, further urged motorists to always exercise due care and adhere strictly to traffic regulations to prevent avoidable tragedies in the state.
