We have news that a woman who had just returned from the United Kingdom to attend a wedding in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has died in a road crash along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, disclosed this Tuesday that the incident occurred at about 6 p.m. on Monday.
Akinbiyi said the victim, alongside two others, was travelling in a white Toyota Camry when the vehicle rammed into a moving truck, leading to her death, while the two other occupants sustained injuries.
He also added that the body of the deceased was deposited at the Redeemed Hospital morgue, while the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment.
This accident comes barely three months after world boxing champion Anthony Joshua and his friend, were involved in a similar crash within the same section of the expressway.
