Nasarawa LP chairman dismisses suspension rumours

The Nasarawa State Chairman of the Labour Party, Alexander Ombugu, has dismissed speculations that he has been suspended from the party by a group of persons parading themselves as caretaker committee members in the state.

Ombugu dismissed the rumours during a press briefing this Monday, saying that the motive behind spreading the rumours was to create an opportunity to defraud political aspirants vying for various positions under the party’s platform, especially as primaries are set to commence.

He further called on security agencies, to investigate the activities of the committee in order to protect residents from being deceived.

While citing that ahead of the 2027 elections, the LP remains a united and focused party, and urged members and supporters to remain determined in ensuring a landslide victory.
