Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has sacked all political appointees in his administration and has directed them to hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Nwabufo Nwankwo, announced this, saying the affected appointees were to complete the handover on Wednesday, to relevant officials who will oversee affairs until the formation of a new cabinet.
Nwankwo also notified all first-term cabinet members to meet with the governor on Monday, March 23, 2026, by 10 a.m. at the ANSEC Chambers of the Light House, Awka.
The directive comes a day after the governor’s second-term inauguration which took place on Tuesday.
