PDP Governors Call for Calm Ahead of Appeal Court Ruling on Party Crisis

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has called on party members and supporters to remain calm as the Appeal Court prepares to deliver its judgment on the party’s leadership crisis this Monday, March 9, 2026.

The chairman of the forum, Bala Mohammed, made the appeal on Sunday saying party members nationwide should respect the judicial process and demonstrate discipline and maturity in responding to the court’s judgment.

He said the PDP reaffirms its respect for the judicial process and its commitment to peace, regardless of the outcome of the court’s ruling.

He also said the party leadership will meet immediately after the judgment to review its implications and chart the necessary post-verdict course of action.
