Troops of the Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace, have rescued two kidnapped victims in Plateau State and intercepted a suspected gun runner in Kaduna State.
The Media Information Officer of the force, Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, said this Tuesday that the troops recorded the successes during coordinated patrols and stop-and-search operations.
Oteh said the victims who were abducted on February 22, 2026 in Bauchi State, have been rescued and debriefed, as efforts are ongoing to reunite them with their families.
In a related operation, the troops deployed at Sanga in Kaduna State, intercepted a suspected gun runner during a stop-and-search operation at Kurmin Goro village.
The General Officer Commanding 3 Division and Commander of Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace, Folusho Oyinlola, commended the troops for their alertness and decisive action, while assuring citizens of their unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property.
