The Federal Fire Service, FFS, says it has contained a residential fire outbreak caused by a lithium solar inverter system at Suncity Estate, Galadima, Abuja.
The National Public Relations Officer and Head of Corporate Services at the FFS, Paul Abraham, shared details of the emergency response on Facebook on Sunday, saying it involved coordinated efforts between the FFS and the FCT Fire Service.
Abraham says following a prompt alert from residents, fire officers successfully brought the fire under control after an hour-long operation and properties valued at approximately ₦700 million were saved.
The service cautioned members of the public on the proper installation, use, and maintenance of solar inverter systems.
