The Chief of Army Staff, Waidi Shaibu, says he will continue to deploy personnel and operational resources to address security challenges in Plateau State, and other parts of the country.
Shaibu declared this commitment on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, as part of his operational and familiarisation tour of Army formations in the state.
Shaibu commended the Plateau State Government for its consistent support to the Nigerian Army, saying that security challenges in the state were complex, but sustained joint efforts among stakeholders would yield positive results.
Governor Mutfwang congratulated Shaibu on his appointment as the 25th Chief of Army Staff and wished him a successful tenure, noting that despite multiple deployments nationwide, the Army had continued to perform its duties effectively.
