The FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says it has arrested 112 alleged vandals of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in 2025.

The FCT Commandant of the NSCDC, Olusola Odumosu, disclosed this in Abuja this Tuesday, saying that the suspects were arrested for various offences, including vandalism and theft of telecommunication and fibre optic cables, as well as the destruction of billboards.

He further explained that some of the most affected areas during 2025 included adjoining offices, network providers’ facilities, billboards, streetlights, National Hospital streetlights, crash barriers and streetlights within the FCT metropolis.

Odumosu noted that the Federal Government had invested heavily in infrastructural development, as he cautioned individuals with criminal intentions in 2026 to desist or be ready to face the full weight of the law if apprehended.
