Former governor of Enugu State, Okwesilieze Nwodo, has said that the South-East has suffered under the All Progressives Congress, APC, saying the eight years of former President, Muhammadu Buhari, and the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, are particularly difficult for the region.
Nwodo, said this Monday, that the APC has failed to gain acceptance in the South-East because it is widely perceived as a party that targets the region for oppression.
He also said that since the APC was formed in the southeast, it has never taken root, but has been seen as the party that singles out the South for oppression.
Nwodo, further said that they do not move towards APC, and their leaders may go there for reasons best known to them, but he can tell that they are not speaking for the general public.
