Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has appointed Wilfred Ndidi as the new captain of the Super Eagles ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, following the retirement of William Troost-Ekong
Ndidi, one of the most experienced players in the current squad, will be assisted by Moses Simon and Alex Iwobi, who have been named vice-captains.
Also Victor Osimhen has also been included in the leadership group as the fourth captain.
The Super Eagles will open their AFCON campaign against Tanzania on December 23, two days after the competition kicks off on December 21.
