Anambra Police has confirmed, that the clash that happened at Afor-Nawfia market was a cult clash that led to the death of four persons.
There were earlier reports that a number of persons were killed when some unknown assailants, launched an attack near the Afor Market Junction in Nawfia community, Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
The Anambra Police Spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed this Monday that the attack was a rival cult clash.
He said although the hoodlums escaped before police arrival, he assured that the Command is already acting on some useful leads gotten at the scene of the attack.
He stated that the Command remains resolute in its determination to rid the State of cultism, violent crime, and all forms of criminality.
