Alex Otti, governor of Abia, met with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday.

Blaze FM understands that Otti was sighted at the State House around midday shortly after the president’s meeting with service chiefs.

The meeting comes on the heels of the governor’s visit to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), at the Sokoto correctional centre.

It was not immediately clear what the governor and the president discussed behind the closed door, but there are feelers that the meeting might be part of the ongoing behind-the-scenes efforts to secure the release of Kanu.
