Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed that they have arrested a 3-man gang of armed robbers along Ehamufu/Nkalagu road who were trying to snatch a motorbike from one Ali Solomon.
Police spokesperson in Ebonyi State, Joshua Ukandu, said this to newsmen explaining that men of Command, while on patrol on 12th November 2025, along Ehamufu/Nkalagu road, heard sporadic gunshots with distress screams
He said they swiftly moved to the location, and found one Ali Solomon struggling with three armed robbers who were attempting to dispossess him of his motorcycle.
Upon sighting the police, the hoodlums opened fire and fled. But the operatives returned fire, neutralizing one of the suspects and recovering one AK-47 rifle loaded with ten (10) rounds of ammunition.
In a similar development, Ukandu says the police also busted a kidnapping syndicate terrorizing the Izzangbo axis in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and rescued a victim, Obasi ThankGod who was tied up, and abandoned inside a hotel toilet
Ukandu said three suspects who were demanding a ransom of Five Million Naira (₦5,000,000), were arrested.
