The head coach of the Panthers of Gabon, Thierry Mouyouma, has confirmed his team’s readiness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff semi-final against Nigeria, set to hold in Rabat, Morocco, on Thursday. 
 
Gabon is aiming to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in its history and has enjoyed an impressive run in the qualifiers, winning nine out of their 10 matches.
 
The coach described the upcoming playoff as a pivotal match that could determine the team’s path to achieving its long-held dream of making it to the world cup.
 
Mouyouma says his squad is focused, motivated, and ready to face the Super Eagles, and are also committed to putting in their best effort to secure a historic win for the country.
