The President of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Sadiq Abubakar, has said that Nigeria is taking decisive steps to align its engineering standards with global benchmarks, as the Council begins the process of joining the Sydney Accord to elevate Nigerian engineers to international recognition.
He said this on Tuesday during the North-East Regional Stakeholders Summit of the Council held in Gombe State.
He further called on stakeholders in the North-East to collaborate actively with COREN’s zonal office in Gombe to identify gaps and strengthen the profession.
