The Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Maku Olatunde, has charged officers and men to adhere strictly to rules of engagement during the November 8 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

 

Maku gave this charge during a muster parade held at the State Command Headquarters this Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in preparation for the election.

 

The State Commandant informed personnel that the objective of the Corps and other security agencies is to provide an enabling environment and a level playing field for all players. He emphasized that adequate security coverage would be provided in synergy with other sister agencies before, during, and after the election.

 

He warned personnel against allowing personal interests to influence their actions, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the Code of Conduct and Electoral Act for a free, fair, inclusive, and credible election.
