The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to comments from an assistant to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who condemned President Bola Tinubu for reversing the pardon granted to convicts.

Phrank Shaibu, who is the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to Atiku had accused Tinubu’s administration of lacking foresight saying the decision to reverse the pardon only came after public outrage

In response, the spokesman of the Lagos APC, Mogaji Oladejo, berated Atiku’s camp describing the statement as “cocktail of ignorance, frustration, and political bitterness from a camp desperate for attention.”

He said President Tinubu’s decisions are driven by due process, rule of law, and national interest and that in advanced democracies, informed review and reconsideration are marks of credible leadership and institutional maturity – not weakness.
