A road accident involving multiple vehicles on Kara Bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, has killed least four people.
The Lagos State Traffick Management Authority, confirmed the accident on its X handle this Thursday saying eight casualties were recorded.
Eyewitnesses say a police officer, an assistant to one of the drivers, and two other people died, while a ‘motorboy’ and one other person were injured in the accident.
The Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Olorundare Jimoh, said five articulated vehicles were involved in the accident and about three injured people have been taken to the hospital.
The CP also said preliminary reports showed that the accident resulted from brake failure.
