The Anambra State government says the clean up of Onitsha North and South, Ogbaru and Idemili North will continue till further notice.

The state Deputy Governor, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, said this while overseeing the clean-up exercise at Uga junction, Ogbo-tools and Ogbo-Ogwu Bridge Head axis of Onitsha, during the sanitation exercise, He said although the days initially set aside for the cleanup have run out, the evacuation and drainage desilting exercises in those local governments have been extended until the Anambra State Government completes the project.

Ibezim said the extension became necessary to actualize its target of restoring clean and healthy environment in Onitsha North and South, Ogbaru and Idemili North local governments of Anambra State Government.
