The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has applauded the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, for leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He hailed the governor during the commissioning of the 15•13km Ikot Esu-Otomo-Azumini road in Ika LGA of Akwa Ibom State on Wednesday, saying that his defection shows commitment to development more than party affiliation.
Wike emphasised the importance of putting development above party loyalty, noting that Governor Eno’s decision to work with the Senate President will bring more development to the state.
He also praised the governor’s leadership, saying the construction of the Ikot Esu-Azomini road is a testament to his commitment to development.
