The death toll from the flooding that struck two Indonesian islands, including tourist hotspot Bali, has risen to 23.

The head of Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), Suharyanto, said this to newsmen this Friday.

Recall that torrential rains which began on Tuesday, triggered floods and landslides across Bali and the island of Flores.

Suharyanto says four more people have been found dead in addition to the already reported 14 deaths and five other people are still missing.

He however says the agency had begun distributing aid including food, clothes and beds while the search for those still missing continues.
